His focus in 2008 will be the ApprentiCorps program to cultivate more service learning internships at charitable non-profit organizations. He also advocates that internships should be mandatory for students, that interns should be compensated, and that employers should provide students with the best practical learning experience.

bullet Author of numerous articles for various trade and business publications. Matthew is a regular columnist for The GreenTree Gazette, the business publication for the higher education community. He continues to develop informative topics to benefit professionals and students alike.

bullet Mentor and supervisor for more than 200 student interns [and counting], Matthew has gained over 20 years of first-hand experience with internships and continues to personally manage The Internship Institute's program. He is also a frequent lecturer at various colleges, universities, and professional associations on a number of career development topics.

bullet Intern who prepared for his career among four different organizations including: in the summer of 1984 with KYW Newsradio, Philadelphia; in the summer of 1985 with the Philadelphia Phillies; from 1986 to 1989 with Warner Bros. Studios; and in 1989 with Goebel/Kirk, Inc., a communication management firm, that earned him his first job.

bullet Graduate of Temple University in 1989, Mr. Zinman earned a B.A. cum laude in Journalism and advanced studies in Radio/Television/Film.

PERSONAL HIGHLIGHTS
Matthew Zinman, age 40, balances his professional endeavors to enjoy a rich family life, including coaching his sons' sports teams. Matthew is a life-long ice hockey player, an avid skier, and a cycling enthusiast. He is often seen riding near his home in scenic Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
